Portfolio Evidence Studio: why we cap async reviews at two rounds

Two rounds keep feedback concrete. The first pass tackles structure and verifiable links. The second pass tightens language and removes claims the participant cannot defend in an interview.

A third round often becomes stylistic churn. That churn feels productive but rarely changes whether a hiring manager can verify the work.

We also want parity between participants. Open-ended unlimited reviews favor people who can sit online all day. A cap nudges everyone toward shipping.

When someone needs more help, we route them to peer swaps or a short live session. Voice clears up ambiguity faster than another annotated PDF.

The cap is a limitation by design. We say it loudly so people can plan around it.
